We work to provide people with disabilities a new found independence and higher quality of life through a task trained service dog. As we grow we will always strive to interact with clients with the mindset that they are people in need and not just a source of income. Additionally, we aim to increase the public’s knowledge on the importance of service dogs and how to properly interact with them. Providing Pawsable will remain a lifelong resource for anyone in need, not just a dog training facility
Rebekah Undersander
Head Trainer & Co-Founder
Rebekah was an animal fanatic from a young age, growing up with dogs, rabbits, frogs, hamsters, chickens and more. She dedicated many hours to volunteering her time toward animal causes, even spending two summers at a wolf and raptor sanctuary. During her time there she helped: nurse injured animals back to health, released many back to the wild, built new enclosures and helped raise the red wolf population. Her passion for animals quickly turned into a dream of becoming a veterinarian, specifically for exotic animals. In pursuit of this dream she shadowed many veterinarians and got hands on experience at an Emergency Veterinarian Hospital. She dedicated her high school senior capstone to helping a local petting zoo find the best medication for their miniature horse with Cushing’s Disease. Shortly into her college career she was diagnosed with three chronic illnesses and soon realized she would never become a veterinarian. She let her passion for animals guide her to a new dream as she trained her own rescue dog to become her multi-purpose service dog (seen left).
This experience lends her to understanding what clients go through on a daily basis and how desperately they need services dogs Since this she has dedicated her life to helping those in need obtain trained service dogs to assist them. She dedicated years to studying scent training, first when she raised hunting dogs as a child and now to adopt the methods to better train medical alert dogs. Additionally, she has taken classes such as grant writing so that Providing Pawsable can lower client's costs through this funding. When she began the journey of acquiring her service dog she faced many financial challenges, which is what inspired the organizational goal to make service animals for accessible and affordable.
She has a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry, which gives her a better understanding of each clients disabilities and how she can train their dog to assist them. In addition she has a certificate in “Dog Behavior & Socialization” and will complete another in “Animal Psychology”. In order to be prepared to work with every dog that comes through her doors, she has also worked alongside multiple dog trainers who specialize in different fields and utilize different training methods.
Rebekah continues to expand her knowledge of the dog world by exploring new challenges such as conformation, dock diving, shed hunting, bird hunting, barn hunting, rally and more!
Our Services
This program allows our clients to be involved with the entirety of their prospect’s training with the help of our trainers at Providing Pawsable. The prospect will remain with their owner during all of the training. Both owner and prospect will come to our training facility or meet in public for individual session with our trainer, which are an hour long.

Bundle Options
Scent training is crucial to medical alert tasks and we are constantly improving our approach and this multi page schedule with give you step by steps for scent training. Along with each step there is a suggested amount of repetitions. The steps are not the only thing included in this schedule, we also provide information on how to collect and store samples, what items you will need to train, and instructions on how to build the tools we use. These steps will start with how to create value for the scent and continue all the way to night alerts, public alerts, car alerts etc. We utilize double blinds to ensure that dogs are able to pick up on alerts without any guide from their handlers. Alert ranges are determined for each individual through monitoring of measurable symptoms and guidance from doctors. It is highly recommended that this service is paired with our sessions for evaluation and assistance throughout the entire process.
Scent Training Guide - $75
You may be starting your service dog journey and finding yourself lost or overwhelmed on how to even find the right dog. Finding a service dog prospect can be time consuming, confusing and overwhelming. We are here to help! When looking for a prospect it is important to find a quality breeder who prioritizes the health and temperaments of their puppies for a lifetime. We have high requirements of the breeds we recommend and will detail these below and why they are important.
When you start a search with us you get a custom webpage on our website dedicated to your search. This webpage is password protected so only you, our staff and your trusted support system may access it. We fill out the information on the categories detailed below on each breeder we present so that you can make a educated decision on the proper breeder for you and your needs.
Prospect Finding - $100
Pet Training
We offer one on one training sessions in your home with our head trainer Rebekah Undersander. We are happy to teach your pup basic, intermediate or advance obedience. Sessions can be either thirty minutes or an hour depending on your preferences and needs. You may also choose to pay per session, which that pricing can be seen below, or buy a package of sessions for a discount.

Board & Train
Boarding and training is a great option to jump start your pups training. Your dog will stay at our home, where they will receive one on one training. During their stay they will get multiple training sessions daily, adequate exercise, food/water and needed brushing. Some of the main reasons dogs will do a Board and Train include, but are not limited to, basic obedience, reduce jumping, off leash training, reducing reactivity and much more.
